The wind rose

Eight winds,
one compass.

Each point of the rose is a door to this site: hover or tap a wind and go where you like. Magenta is Marta's favourite colour. The Maestrale, Sardinia's home wind, is the challenge.

Born by the sea in Cagliari

First rhythmic gymnastics, then at eight years old a windsurf board. From then on the Gulf of Cagliari became her training ground and, for a family of sailors, almost a family affair.

2021

Tokyo: fourth, one step away

At her first Olympics she finishes fourth in the RS:X. It is not the end of a story: it is the point from which to change board, and so course.

2022

Brest: world champion

On the new foiling board she wins the iQFoil World Championship, ahead of Daniela Peleg and Maya Morris. Italian windsurfing is back on top of the world, 14 years after Alessandra Sensini.

Maestrale · Marta's challenge

The Maestrale puts
you to the test.
